I suoi sacerdoti han violata la mia Legge, ed han profanate le mie cose sante; non han posta differenza tra la cosa santa, e la profana, e non hanno insegnato a discerner tra la cosa monda, e l’immonda; e si sono turati gli occhi, per non prender guardia a’ miei sabati, ed io sono stato profanato nel mezzo di loro.

Para imam Israel melanggar hukum-hukum-Ku dan mencemarkan benda-benda yang dikhususkan untuk-Ku. Mereka tidak membedakan mana yang halal dan mana yang haram. Juga mereka tidak mengajar rakyat untuk membedakan mana yang bersih dan mana yang najis menurut peraturan agama. Mereka tidak menghiraukan hari Sabat. Dengan demikian Aku dihina oleh bangsa Israel.

Imam-imamnya memperkosa hukum Taurat-Ku dan menajiskan hal-hal yang kudus bagi-Ku, mereka tidak membedakan antara yang kudus dengan yang tidak kudus, tidak mengajarkan perbedaan yang najis dengan yang tahir, mereka menutup mata terhadap hari-hari Sabat-Ku. Demikianlah Aku dinajiskan di tengah-tengah mereka.
