Seperti sarung pendek terikat erat pada pinggang pemakainya, demikianlah Aku bermaksud supaya umat Israel dan Yehuda terikat erat pada-Ku. Dengan demikian mereka menjadi umat-Ku yang membuat nama-Ku terpuji dan dihormati. Tapi, mereka tidak mau menurut kepada-Ku.
